The Scoop:

This course is the mandatory pre-requisite for Chief Range Safety Officer (NRA CRSO) course.

The NRA Range Safety Officer program was developed in response to the demand for a nationally recognized range safety officer certification. 

NRA Range Safety Officers are people who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.

 

Students will learn:

• Range Safety Officer's roles and responsibilities
• Range standard operating procedures
• Range inspection and range rules
• Firearm stoppages and malfunctions
• Range safety briefings
• Emergency procedures.

 

Students will receive:

• NRA handbook
• NRA certificate

RECOMMENDATION

Students are recommended to become NRA members prior to the class. Upon class completion, students must register with the NRA Instructor website to obtain official certification. The fee is $40 for NRA members and $175 for non-members. We hope we use your course registration refund for the fee.
